Let me start off by saying that I have been extremely disappointed. Yes, disappointed for not being introduced to such a brilliant product as this before.
Now, I bet you are wondering why I would be saying that Social Bookmarking is a waste of time. Well, to be 100% honest… it really is, if you are doing it the manual way.
See, I’d like to start off by saying that I have been in the fortunate position of being a part of the Beta testing of Bookmarkwiz. I was privileged enough to have been able to use this social bookmarking software since before it was officially launched.
Now, with that out of the way I though it good to create a comprehensive review of Bookmarkwiz.
BOOKMARKWIZ – Social Bookmarking Software Uncovered
Many of you probably haven’t heard of its creator, Koen Berkenbosch, before. See, the problem is that many people only follow the so called “Gurus” and that when a new player enters the market, people are sceptical. This is all good and well, but let tell you something… I have been blown away by Koen and his product, seriously.
I am pretty sure that whoever reads this page will have come across the likes of Bookmarking Demon, Social Bot, SENuke, etc. And while they are all pretty decent products, they are either too damn expensive, doesn’t have enough updates or the support is just awful.
Look, I’m not going to hype Bookmarkwiz up. It doesn’t need all the hype and besides, I bet that if you are anything like me, you are looking for a no frills, unbiased opinion and review.
Although I will be talking about this social bookmarking software’s amazing abilities and features, I will also talk about some of the negative aspects of Bookmarkwiz.
So here we go, straight off the bat I will start right at the beginning… the System Requirements:
What do I Need To Run Bookmarkwiz?
Bookmarkwiz has been developed to work on the following 32-bit Operating systems (64-bit works but not officially supported):
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
- Does not run on Apple or Linux OS (yet)ac
Bookmarkwiz has been developed to run with the minimum hardware specifications below:
- 20 MB of available hard disk space
- 128 MB RAM
- 500MHz Processor or better
So, How Do You Install This Thing?
There is nothing special or complicated about the installation of Bookmarkwiz. Run the installation, follow the instructions (which is as simple as any other installation) and you’re done. That’s it, Done!
Once the installation is complete, you will need to send Koen your own Unique Machine ID that Bookmarkwiz generates in order to unlock the software. After that, you’re ready to Rock and Roll.
What Settings Should I Be Aware Off?
When opening Bookmarkwiz it goes straight to the settings page. One of the reasons I speak so highly of Bookmarkwiz is the fact that everything is so simple and easy to use. You will not be thrown in the deep end.
On the settings page you only have 2 things to take into consideration. Giving your project a name and chosing between filling out the captchas manually or using one of the following services:
• Decaptcher.com
• Bypasscaptcha.com
• Beatcaptchas.com
• Deathbycaptcha.com
Bookmarkwiz allows you to set the amount of failed attempts. You can also set which service you prefer. Pretty handy stuff.
What the heck is a Captcha?
Captchas as very simply little graphical boxes that display random characters. The user is then asked to enter the characters to prove that he/she indeed is a human and not a bot.
The services priority in Bookmarkwiz basically gives you the control as to whether you prefer using the auto services or doing it manually. The choice is yours.
Can it do QuickIndexing?
Yes!
QuickIndex submits your website to a large variety of domain, whois, and DNS statistic web sites. These backlink sites are highly visible to the major search engines and will quickly spider, aggregate, and link to your web site, many within the same day of submission.
Since these domain statistic web sites are frequently visited by the major search engines, you gain instant visibility to search engine robots, instant boosting of web site backlinks, and ultimately, increased traffic to your web site.
Does it Support Pinging?
An essential feature of any good social bookmarking software is pinging. Bookmarkwiz does not disappoint here.
In order for the search engines to see your new bookmark, you need to let them know. This is were pinging comes in.
Bookmarkwiz gives you the option to automatically ping URLs everytime you do bookmarks or you can manually do the pinging. Important to notice is that you always have full control and it doesn’t cost you a cent.
Can I use Proxies?
In short, YES!
Now, of course there are some good ones and some bad ones. The good ones are usually paid for and the bad ones, well… you get the picture. This social bookmarking software offers you the option of adding in your own proxies.
Why use proxies?
Simply put, it enables you to do more. Yes, by using proxies certain services won’t know that you just posted something previously as the proxy is routing from a different address.
This then enables you to post another link on the same site almost instantly after the previous. The point is that Bookmarkwiz makes provision to those of you who are looking to push the boundaries.
In a nutshell, Bookmarkwiz will ensure that you aren’t seen as a spammer… even if you are.
Can I add E-mail addresses? 
This to me is a massive time saver. You will be able to add as many email addresses into the software as you wish. Bookmarkwiz will then do all the necessary checks like validity, do activations, etc.
The only negative thing I can think of here is that it doesn’t have the feature of creating email accounts for you. This is minor, but unfortunately one of my gripes.
How to Register and What Services are Available?
Over here you’ll see all of the email addresses previously entered. You will also see a list of all the bookmarking services Bookmarkwiz caters for. These are all high PR sites and they are as follows:

Once you have selected your email addresses to use, select your URLs and then the services. Bookmarkwiz will start doing what it does best. You don’t have to do anything other than wait about 1 – 2min. Yes, it’s that quick.
One thing I picked up though that kind-off made me worry was that Bookmarkwiz fails on some of the services.
I can however say that the owner constantly updates his software… up to 4 times a month which is pretty damn impressive compared to other social bookmarking software out there.
Must I Manually Activate my Accounts?
Most definitely not! This social bookmarking software takes care of activating all of the accounts you registered on. Imagine doing this manually…
How Do I Submit URLs?
This obviously is what Bookmarkwiz does best. This whole process is as simple as browsing the internet… seriously.
All you need to do is add your URL, then the Titles, then the Descriptions, selecting all of the bookmarking sites and BAM! You’re done… well almost.
See, I prefer manually filling out the captchas, so instead of the whole thing taking 1 min… mine takes about 3. Still not bad!
Another great feature I want to mention is that Bookmarkwiz supports spinnable Descriptions and Titles.
The simple format is like this: {Hello|Hi}
This is really important as you do not want to send the same URLs with the same Titles and the same Descriptions to all of the services. This will not be as effective as unique URLs, Titles and Descriptions. You don’t want to do all of this for nothing, right?
Right, now that I covered the good stuff, let me tell you about the bad. I believe it’s important for someone to know what they are letting themselves into when purchasing software.
Here goes…
No Scheduling – Unfortunately this social bookmarking software does not support scheduling. In other words, you need to manually start the process. This to me is not a biggy, never the less… I’m sure it’ll be missed by some.
No Pligg sites – I personally don’t like Pligg sites. They are low quality and mostly used by spammers. As i said, I don’t mind the exclusion of this from Bookmarkwiz, but some will.
Conclusion
I have seen and used many and I can honestly say that when it comes to automating social bookmarking, nothing comes close to Bookmarkwiz (click here to go to official site). Yes it has its flaws, but can you honestly tell me that all software are perfect? Truth is that you probably don’t need this software, but if you are looking to save you a hell of a lot of time and effort, then you just cannot be without it.
